The weight of centuries seems to cling to this powerful creature, as if it holds the secrets of ancient times within its stony form. Its eyes seem to gleam with a wisdom beyond our comprehension, as if daring us to unlock the mysteries hidden within. The dolomite itself adds an extra layer of significance, known for its properties of grounding and protection. This bear is not just a carving, but a guardian spirit imbued with strength and resilience that reaches beyond mere physical presence. In its stillness lies a quiet power that commands respect and reverence from all who gaze upon it.
Bear (Anshe): Bear was the principal animal for the Pueblo People and they are the most prevalent subject of Zuni fetishes. Bear fetishes are used for healing, protection, strength, journeying, mothering, hunting and gathering. Bear‚ hibernation reminds us of the value of going within.
