Petosky stones are fossilized coral rock fragments found along the shores of Lake Michigan in the United States. These unique stones are characterized by their distinct hexagonal patterns, which resemble honeycomb or fossilized coral. Many people enjoy collecting these stones for their beauty and rarity, as they are only found in certain regions around the Great Lakes. Some even believe that Petosky stones have metaphysical properties that promote positivity and healing.
Bison (Si:wolo) is especially important to the Plains Indians. These magnificent animals were the basis of their lifeway before they were hunted to extinction by the white man. While not a traditional fetish subject for the Zunis, all animals have meaning and Bison reminds us of abundance and prayer.
